              Liquids Research Limited, founded in 1990 by Professor K. O’Grady and Dr S. W. Charles, is a leading manufacturer of ferrofluids occupying modern facilities in the Mentec Technology Centre, a science park in Bangor, North Wales.

              The founders are internationally recognised as experts in the field of magnetic liquids, ferrofluids, magnetic inks, magnetorheological fluids and bioseparation, leading many research projects covering the fundamental aspects of these materials and other fields also based on fine magnetic particles.

              LRL to attend the 71st AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo. August 4-8, 2019, Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA USA. We will be exhibiting our range of ferrofluid products for bio applications and also introducing new developments for bio applications.

              Two New Vacuum Sealing Products

              ULTRA LOW VAPOUR PRESSURE PFPE FERROFLUID

              A new perfluoropolyether (PFPE) based vacuum grade sealing ferrofluid is offered by Liquids Research Ltd. The product, VacuMAG-F16, has an oil vapour pressure of 3E-16 Torr at 20ºC. The fluid has been tested to 160ºC without deterioration. Please see link here for further details.

              LOW STARTING TORQUE HYDROCARBON FERROFLUID

              A new hydrocarbon oil based fluid, VacuMAG™-LT, is a new ferrofluid for vacuum applications which has an almost 40% lower starting torque than standard vacuum grade ferrofluids of similar saturation magnetisation. Please see here for further details.

              Liquids Research Ltd have recently launched a series of new products suitable for bio applications.  The products were exhibited at the International Conference on the Scientific and Clinical Applications of Magnetic Carriers in Dresden, Germany.

              HyperMAG®

              Magnetic nanoparticles of 3 diameters (10.3, 11.7 and 15.2nm), these are ideal for magnetic hyperthermia experiments.

              DexoMAG®

              Dextran (3.5, 10 and 40 kDa) coated nanoparticles which are utilised in the separation of sub-cellular organelles from the Endocytotic system.

              FluoreMAG®

              TRITC and FITC derivatives of DexoMAG™ nanoparticles

              LiquidMAG®

              New magnetic nanoparticles which are coated with positive surfactants which are useful for magnetotransfection.
